The Crypt

Beneath the Basilica, there is the crypt which was the burial place for the people of Mosta until 1974. There is an altar dedicated to Our Lady of Mount Carmel. One should note that among the tombs found in each room of this crypt are those of the people of Mosta who made great sacrifices to build this place of worship.
