The Baptismal Font

The baptismal font dates to 1557 and was a gift by the Bishop Cubelles to the first church which stood on this site. At the time as Mosta was not a parish, this church was only the main church of the village. The statue composition showing Christ being baptized by Saint John the Baptist was carved in wood by Vincenzo Dimech (1768-1831).
