Inscription Around The Dome

Above the sixteen windows set around the base of dome, one can see a large cornice with the Latin inscription: ‘MARIA VIRGO ASSUMPTA EST AD AETHEREUM THALAMUM IN QUO REX REGUM STELLATO SEDET SOLIO’, which means: The Virgin Mary is taken up into the heavenly dwelling, where the King of Kings sits on his starry throne.
